The attribution of the text is due to an early handwritten note on the title.
With two verse entertainments: Noce de Village and La Fée Vaporine. For the first play, the roles have been filled in by hand formerly by the cast (Le Bedeau. "Mr le chev. de Tencin", La Dame du lieu. "La Princesse de Carignan", etc.). Procope played the magister.
Very rare.
Jean-François Du Resnel du Bellay (Rouen 1692 - Paris 1761), French clergyman, man of letters and translator. Although he did not own the Château du Bellay, built for his great-uncle in Hénouville in 1632, he did inherit land in this Normandy village.
Michel Procope (1684-1753), physician and Freemason, nicknamed Procope-Couteau to distinguish him from his father, the cafe owner on rue de la Vieille Comédie.
