Small in-8 half-brown basane, spine ribbed and decorated, gilt title, date on tail (late 19th c. binding).
Holes and wormholes in margins. Light spotting in places.
Jean BEHOURT, regent of the Collège des Bons-Enfants, Rouen, grammarian and playwright, born in Rouen in the mid-sixteenth century, died at the beginning of the following century. In 1607, in 1 large vol. in-8, he composed an abridgement of Despautère's Latin grammar, a work which was in turn abridged, and which was used for a long time in the classroom.
