DESMARETS (Charles). Histoire de Madeleine Bavent, Religieuse du Monastère de Saint-Louis de Louviers. Reprinted verbatim from the extremely rare 1652 edition. Preceded by a bio-bibliographical note and followed by several additional pieces. Rouen, Lemonnyer, 1878. In-8 bradel half-green morocco, gilt title, small gilt fleuron, date on tail. Fine edition with etched frontispiece and view of the former convent of Saint Louis, printed in an edition of 177 copies; no. 74 on Hollande, the only copy with hand-colored hors texte and ornaments.
