In-folio, brown half-chagrin, smooth spine decorated with gilt fleurons and cold-stamped fillets, boards covered with brown chagrined paper, gilt title on front board (period binding). Minor rubbing, corners slightly worn. Several small brown spots. Ex-libris J.M. With 11 additional engravings by F. Legrip added in fine. Very rare. A native of Rouen, Frédéric Legrip (1817-1871) was a pupil of Eustache-Hyacinthe Langlois, David d'Angers and Joseph Court.
