REGNARD (François). Œuvres. Paris, Maradan, 1790. 4 vols. large in-8, red morocco, richly decorated smooth spines, wide gilt border framing the covers, gilt fillet on the edges, inner gilt roulette, gilt edges (period binding). Beautiful edition printed on papier de hollande. It is illustrated with 2 portraits and 16 hors-texte figures by Borel engraved by Vignet, Croutelle, Halbou, Duhamel & Le Roy, i.e. 1 portrait and 4 figures plus Cohen's collation (p. 866). A precious copy in contemporary morocco containing 5 added figures. Scattered freckles, angular tear with lack not affecting text on p. 131 of vol. 4.
