TURNER (Joseph Mallord William) & HUISH (Marcus Bourne). The Seine and the Loire illustrated by-sixty-one engravings in pure line after drawings by J. M. W. Turner. London, Virtue & Co, 1886.
In-folio, brown half-chagrin with corners, ornate smooth spine, double gilt fillet on boards decorated with the arms of Normandy, Ile de France, Champagne, Brittany, Anjou and Burgundy, publisher's binding.
Numerous engraved plates, uncollated. Based on Turner's watercolors, these engravings were first published under the title Turner's Annual Tour (London, Longman, Rees. Orme et al., 1833-1835). Introduction and descriptions by M. B. Huish, editor of "The Art Journal".
Rubbed, marginal spotting and traces of sunning on the binding, ex. uncropped and unbound, a few scattered foxings.
