In-8 brown half-chagrin with corners, ornate spine, double gilt fillet on coverspp. 183-280. Text signed R., lawyer, probably Mr. Roman, whose name appears on the spine and on the bookplate on the flyleaf.
Benoît d'Alignan, who died on January 11, 1268, was a French ecclesiastic, Benedictine monk and bishop of Marseille from 1229 to 1267, who twice visited the Holy Land.
