In-16, blue long-grained morocco, spine with false-nerves decorated with gilt and cold-stamped motifs, boards decorated with cold floral motifs and a framing double gilt fillet, gilt roulette on the edges and inside, gilt edges (19th century binding). Second Elzévirienne edition enlarged from the 1661 original by a collection of some fine deeds and memorable words of Henry the Great, which occupies pages 525 to 566, and a poem by Abbé Cassagne entitled Henry the Great, which occupies the last 10 leaves. It is illustrated with a frontispiece showing Henry IV on horseback. (Brunet IV, 491.) A fine copy. Small marginal tear without missing title.
