In-12, green morocco, richly decorated ribbed spine, wide gilt decoration framing the covers with large fleurons in spandrels, gilt roulette on the edges and inside, gilt edges (Dutch binding of the period). First edition of this diary published and translated by Jacques Desbordes, which contains valuable information on the state of Europe after the Thirty Years' War. Andreas von Melville (1624 - 1706) was, among other things, major general in Brunswick and Lüneburg. A precious copy in contemporary morocco.
