In-folio (386 x 290 mm) of 1 f. n. ch., VII pp., 120 pp., 1 f. n. ch., blue half-percaline, smooth mute spine, top cover decorated with a large 18th-century frame with the title in the center (publisher's binding). Baudoindition illustrated with 57 lithochrome plates, including 49 showing regimental flags, standards and costumes, from 1737 to 1774, and 8 large reproductions of paintings by 18th-century masters. "This interesting work reproduces many original documents that would be difficult to obtain" (Glasser). Bookplate of the Saffroy brothers engraved by Henry-André.
