Three broadsides (610 x 442 mm), 19 plates (of 36). In ff., printed covers, blue half cloth folder, Plexiglas covers with laces (modern folder).
Reunion of 19 beautiful and monumental lithographed and colored plates of Austrian uniforms, drawn by August von Pettenkofen (1822-1889) and Josef Anton Strassgschwandtner (1826-1881), renowned painters of the double monarchy. They come from a rare album of military costumes dedicated to Emperor Franz Joseph I, published in 9 issues at 6 florins each. The plates are preserved with 3 issue covers and are numbered 17-21 and 23-36.
Paper restoration in the margins of the covers, foxing, three plates slightly browned.
