JOSEPH II (Holy Roman Emperor). Handwritten patent of nobility in German signed by Joseph II (and countersigned by Henri Count de Blumegen, First Chancellor of the Kingdom of Bohemia) dated December 6, 1781 for François Xavier NICOD, giving him the title "de ZEINAU" with enjoyment for him and his descendants of a coat of arms with noble coat of arms, described and painted in the document, a gold jewel and a red wax scean attached to the document in its wooden box attached by cord (well preserved). In-4 of [10] manuscript ff. on parchment 36 x 31 cm, contemporary brown velvet boards. Engraved frame for the first 3 pages. With complete translation from German into French by the Bureau Général de traduction des langues (early 19th c.), 11 pp. large in-8 paperback, in paperback cover.
