Paris, Nepveu, 1815. 6 vol. in-16, blue morocco, richly decorated ribbed spines, wide gilt lace framing the covers, gilt roulette on the edges and inside, gilt edges (period binding). First edition of this important compilation. It is illustrated with 54 hors-texte figures, including 2 fold-outs, all finely colored at the time, showing figures in period costumes, views, monuments and more. (Brunet I, 1226; Colas, 439). A precious copy in contemporary morocco. Minor foxing not affecting the plates.
