First edition of the first work by François Baucher (1796-1873). He ran the riding school on rue Duguay-Trouin in Rouen from 1822 to 1834, and spent winter and spring in Rouen, and summer and autumn in Le Havre, where he had built a small square riding school (Mennessier de La Lance I, 87).
