Binding very worn, leather missing. Illustrated with 268 beautiful mid-page woodcuts by Jean Cousin. The first 2 leaves and the last leaf are missing. The title page of the Historical Figures of the New Testament is present. Poor condition, light foxing, a few tears roughly restored with adhesive tape, cuts with missing pieces at the bottom of pp. 101 to 104. Missing page break between pp. 158 and 161. Pencilled on title page of second part (=p. 161).
