Dutch reprint of the Antwerp edition published in 1550, illustrated with an engraved title and numerous full-page woodcut figures signed with the monogram "CVS" by Christoffel van Sichem the Younger (1581-1658). The text is framed and printed in Gothic and Roman type (for Latin quotations and marginal notes). Each biblical narrative is followed by a prayer.
Marginal restoration with loss to title and pp. 15-16. Missing pp. 465-466, 493-494, 663-664.
