The only surviving political book on the subject to be considered a masterpiece of our literature. This work, directed against the Spanish Leagues and their activities, is one of the many essays and pamphlets immediately inspired by this page of the Franco-French and Franco-Spanish wars. The texts are by humanists Jean Passerat and Florent Chrestien, canons Pierre Leroy and Jacques Gillot, and lawyers Gilles Durant, Pierre Pithou and Nicolas Rapin. Illustrated with 3 woodcuts in the text.
