In-12 cream vellum, traces of handwritten title on spine (contemporary binding). Small woodcut to title showing two barber-surgeons in action. Full-page engraved anatomical figure of a man with astrological symbols, p. 18. 2 full-page engraved tables of elements. One small engraved figure in the text. Very rare edition, said to have appeared in the same year as the original dated 1550, also by Bourriquant. This is one of the rare Renaissance medical textbooks written in French (for the use of "beginning" surgeons) by the Rouen physician Hervé Fierabras, whose text inspired Ambroise Paré.
