In-12 black half calf, false ribbed spine, gilt author and title (period binding).
Théodore Eloi Lebreton (1803-1883), poet and biographer from Rouen, member of several learned societies, employed at the Rouen Library (with special responsibility for the Leber Library). In 1848, he was appointed representative of the Seine-Inférieure department and sat on the Constituent Assembly. For the first few years of his life, he worked in an Indian factory. He is the author of several collections of poems and a large number of detached verse pieces, written for a variety of occasions.
This 2nd edition has been enlarged (compared with the 1837 original) by a second part on the subject of the Workshop. Frontispiece portrait.
Light staining in places, otherwise a very good copy. Ex-libris J.M. (Frère II, 178.)
