In-12 dark blue calf, finely decorated smooth spine, gilt title, author's name in gilt lettering at tail, double gilt fillet framing the boards decorated with a very fine plate with romantic gilt decoration (R. P. Paulin D.) Very slightly rubbed at tail.
Original edition with 6 lithographs printed on chine appliqué on strong paper outside the text. Some foxing to the plates, otherwise a very fine, well-bound copy. Ex-libris J.M. (Frère II, 174.)
