Rare edition published on the Bigot manuscript by J. B. Le Brun des Marettes, far superior to the first.
"Copies of the 1642 and 1679 editions are hard to find" Frère. This Latin edition of the Livre des offices ecclésiastiques is extremely rare.
Jean de Bayeux (otherwise known as Jean d'Avranches) bishop of Avranches in September 1060, archbishop of Rouen in 1069, son of Raoul count of Bayeux and nephew of Richard I duke of Normandy, died at Saint Philibert sur Risle on September 9, 1079. A wise and modest prelate, he was one of the luminaries of the Norman Church.
