Small in-4, brown half-maroquin, finely decorated smooth spine, gilt title, gilt fillet on covers, gilt head, illustrated cover with 1844 date preserved (E. Dervois). First edition. Portrait of Corneille, title-front, title vignette, 2 plates of coats of arms in color, 2 maps, 21 plates out of text and 5 plates of costumes in color added. Spotting on a few pages, otherwise a very fine, well-preserved copy in an attractive signed binding, with color costume plates. (Vicaire, IV, 539.)
