Rouen, Le Grand, 1833. 2 large volumes in-8, red half-maroquin with corners, spine ribbed, gilt title and tomaison, Vatimesnil coat of arms on tail, date on tail, double cold fillet on covers, gilt heads (Petit). Minor foxing. 2 double-page engraved frontispieces and one plate, vignettes and initials. Volume II illustrations table leaf detached. Rare, on large paper. A very fine copy. Ex-libris Bibliothèque du Château de Vatimesnil. Bookplate J.M. An extract from the Journal des savants of August 1834 devoted to this work by Raynouard, 16 pp. paperback, dust jacket, is enclosed.
