Copy reprinted in in-4 format with engravings printed on Chine. Frontispiece and 42 plates hors texte. (The number of plates varies from copy to copy). First edition of the French translation of this work by the librarian and antiquarian Ducarel (1713-1785), originally published in English in 1754 under the title "A Tour through Normandy", then in 1767 in an enlarged and illustrated version under the title "Anglo-Norman Antiquities considered, in a tour through part of Normandy", which served for the translation by the Norman historian Léchaudé d'Anisy (1772-1857).
