A more complete Rouen edition than the two previous ones published by the same publisher in 1594 and 1600. Nicknamed "the French Tibulle", Philippe Desportes (1546-1606), abbé de Thiron, lecteur de la chambre du Roi and conseiller d'Etat, was Henry III's poet laureate. Complete with 8 leaves in fine containing the Tombeau de Desportes.
