In-4, marbled calf, ornate spine. Illustrated with a portrait of the author, a folded table and a large map of the course of the Yvette river, the Bièvre or Gobelins river, and the canal that is to carry the Yvette water taken from Vaugien to Paris.
This project has immortalized the name of Antoine Deparcieux. It is the most magnificent idea conceived at the time to provide the city of Paris with the comfort and health it will never have until this project is carried out. All of M. Deparcieux's memoirs on this subject can be found in this volume, with various additions. The excellent memoir by M. Perronet and an analysis by Messrs. Macquer & Cadet of the waters of the Bièvre and Bure rivers, which it is proposed to join to the Yvette, have also been added.
A very fine copy in fine condition, with a small amount of wetness in the upper margin.
