In-8, blond granite calf, ornate smooth spine, gilt roulette framing the boards and on the edges (worn binding). First edition, illustrated with a frontispiece and 4 figures by Marillier engraved by Ponce, De Ghendt.
La Harpe based his poem on an Arab tale, which was taken up by the Provençals in the novel Fortunatus, then in the early 18th century: Les aventures d'Abdalla.
