Small in-12 brown half-maroquin with corners, spine ribbed, gilt title, date on tail, gilt head, cover preserved (V. Champs).
First edition with two etchings by L. OSTROWSKI, dedicated to the incestuous love of Julien and Marguerite de Ravalet, who were executed in the Place de Grève on December 2, 1603.
A fine copy enriched with an E.A.S. from the author in red ink to his friend M. F. Kleine, "le crime qui fait le plus rêver" ("the crime that makes you dream"). Ex-libris J.M. (Vicaire I, 307.)
