DUJARDIN (Karel). Collection of 56 etchings mounted in a folio notebook (blue cover). Various sizes (from 6 x 5 cm to 18 x 24 cm). Attached is a modern print of an etching signed JJDB (1772) after K. Dujardin's 1657 painting of a Commedia dell'Arte performance in an Italian countryside. Burnished. Dim. 40 x 57 cm. Tear in margin not reaching the engraving. Karel Dujardin (c.1626-1678) was a Dutch painter and engraver of the Golden Age, known for his Italianate landscapes. He was a member of the Bamboccianti family.
