Hudson (Lugt. 2432) and Beurdeley (Lugt. 421) H. 28 - L. 420 cm Provenance: 1 - Collection Alfred Beurdeley, Paris, Galerie Georges Petit, 6th sale, June 8 - 10, 1920; Lair - Dubreuil and Henri Baudoin auctioneers; Jules Féral and Marius Paulme experts; n° 50 of the catalog, as Veronese, with the following mention: "Drawing of the right side of the large painting of the master decorating the refectory of the Convent of Monte Berico, near Vicenza". 2 - Countess Anna (Latitia) Pecci Blunt Collection (according to an old inscription in ink on the reverse of the support board); 3 - Paris, Palais Galliera, SCP Laurin - Guilloux - Buffetaud; R. Lebel expert; March 26, 1973, n° 23 of the catalog (reproduced) " Attributed to Paolo Caliari dit Veronese ". Related to the right part of the Last Supper of Saint Gregory the Great from the Sanctuary of Monte Berico in Vicenza (Cf. Remigio Marini, Tout l'oeuvre peint de Veronèse, n° 162, p.114 - Paris 1970). Document: A certificate for insurance from François Heim, expert of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts, dated March 30, 1985, stating that the drawing is "after The Last Supper of Saint Gregory the Great", in Vicenza, "is a work from the Master's workshop", will be given to the buyer.
