PULIGO Domenico (From) 1492 - 1527 Mary Magdalene Oil on canvas (Rentoilage; some restorations. Old oxidized varnish) Annotated lower left P. P Prud'hon H. 61,5 - W. 48,3 cm Condition : Old oxidized and dirty varnish; the paint layer seems to have been partially stripped. Restoration on the lower part of the nose above the nostrils, and on the cheeks, as well as in the background. Probably a 19th century revival of the composition by Domenico Puligo (canvas; 58 x 41 cm) kept in Rome at the Galleria Borghese (Cf. Catalogue of the exhibition Domenico Puligo (1492 - 1527).
