This French fortnightly journal founded and directed by Charles Péguy (at irregular intervals), of Dreyfusarde inspiration, appeared from January 1900 to July 1914. The texts proposed were either articles or essays on current issues (socialist congresses, the Dreyfus affair, Universités Populaires, separation of Church and State) or a work by Péguy himself or another author (often discovered by the latter, such as the Tharaud brothers, André Suarès, Julien Benda or Romain Rolland, with the serial publication of Jean-Christophe).
