Paperback schoolboy's notebook, mention autograph "This manuscript belongs exclusively to Yvonne Zervos with the friendship and admiration of" then large signature of Paul Eluard. 9 pp. including 6 manuscripts on the recto or verso : Leaflet [1 r°-2 r°-3 r°] : "Ma mémoire bat les cartes", sixth poem of the second part of the collection 'Défense de savoir'. Manuscript in black ink, with crossings, hyphenations and corrections in black or blue ink. The last six verses of the fourth stanza and the fourth stanza are on page 3 r°. 2nd leaf torn with missing lower half. Without the last four verses of the second stanza (compared to the final version). Leaflet [4 r°]: "What I say to you does not change me", fifth poem of the second part of the collection 'Defense of knowledge'. Manuscript in black ink, with crossings, hyphenations and corrections in black or blue ink. "I have taken a little too much at my ease", ninth and last poem in the second part of the collection 'Défense de savoir'. Manuscript in pencil, with erasures and corrections in pencil and ink. Leaflet [5 r°] : "Au premier éclat", second poem of the second part of the collection 'Défense de savoir'. Manuscript in ink with cross-outs and corrections in black ink. With the addition in blue ink of two unpublished verses: "Tu envahis la/ma solitude / Et ton corps n'a plus de forme".
