VAN MAELE (Martin) & OVIDE. Les Amours. Translated from Latin into French by Sieur de BELLEFLEUR. Paris, Chevrel, 1913. Large in-8 dark green half morocco with corners, smooth back decorated with red morocco mosaic false caissons with central mosaic composition (Cupid), gilt title, gilt fillet, gilt head (Blanchetière). The M. Van Maele illustration consists of 13 (of 14) etching plates without text (including the frontispiece), 3 bands and 3 etching culs-de-lampe and headings, ornate letters and woodcut culs-de-lampe by Eugène Dété. Limited edition of 250 copies ; one of the 230 on Arches wove paper (n°249). Back faded, qs rubbed.
