Third edition of this famous description of the ancient city of Troy by Jean-Baptiste Le Chevalier (1752-1836), secretary of Choiseul-Gouffier, the author of Le Voyage pittoresque de la Grèce. The atlas volume is illustrated with 37 maps, plans, views and archaeological and numismatic subjects engraved by Tardieu, Adam, Berlin, Collin, etc., printed on 29 plates, some of them folding or double-page, preceded by explanatory notes. Very beautiful copy of which the atlas, although of a much larger format, is uniformly bound with the text, which is not common.
